Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Sorry for same day multiple posts. Wanted to add that I'm actually carrying the new Damascus Caly 3 that I got on the exchange, at least during weekdays where the most she'll have to do is open envelopes or cut the occasional piece of tape. I'm torn between wanting to carry it because it's so pretty and I'm so excited to have it, and not wanting to mess it up. :o

Wow!! That is gorgeous!!! I know exactly how you feel!! But you HAVE to carry it!! No breaking up sidewalks though!!!
First one of those I've seen. Dam!

Thank you for sharing my excitement. :)

It's been my dream knife for ages but I never thought I'd ever see one for sale; figured I'd be hunting for one forever. 'Course as soon as I mentioned that to someone in casual conversation, two of 'em show up on The Auction Site That Shall Not Be Named, one as part of a lot that was out of my price range even if I was interested in the other knives, and one that was very scratched and faded and chipped (poor thing), and, sadly, not worth what the seller was asking, imo. And then I found this one here on the exchange, in perfect condition, still available. So stoked!

Your excitement is so easy to see!! Looking at that pic, I can't see any scratches or dents. It looks like it was never used! Super score!
How's the action and lock up??

Yep, the seller said it was never used. There's the tiniest scuff on one side of the bolster, but if the seller hadn't mentioned it, I probably wouldn't have noticed. It opens and closes smoothly, lock is firm, no blade wiggle at all. Blade totally centered, at least to my eyes. I totally lucked out.

I really like the look of the honeycomb pattern on the scales of the top Manix. How's the grip compared to G-10?

Just got a brand new Pac Salt from GP. What an absolute beast!! I was amazed at how sharp this thing is! I push cut receipt paper with every depression. Dam!!
It is very smooth and easily flickable, pretty awesome for a lock back, locks up tight as a drum with no movement at all and feels extremely solid!!

Hey Tomboy, thanks... I also like those scales. They are slightly less grippy than the stock peel-ply G10, but I generally prefer smoother scales. The Manix locks into your hand anyways, and provides great grip as a result, so it is no issue at all. Aftermarket scales are always expensive, but if you can swing it I can recommend these Putman scales.
