That is the Original Spyderco Persian (C83BMP), Black Micarta with polished steel bolsters... introduced in 2003, discontinued in 2005.. designed by Ed Schempp

I love autos and wish Spydie would make more of them.....because they make an excellent auto!!
Case in point: super sweet pocket chainsaw.....Autonomy! Thing fires with a resounding THWAAAK!!

Sorry about the pic. Taken in the dark with phone flash. [emoji51]. Had these in tow today. While the GB2 is a really good knife, but the Chaparral is one of those little things that just puts a smile on your face.

It's just big enough to get most jobs done. Small and light enough to serve as a dress up "gentleman's" knife. Would really love to try the step milled titanium versions, but the price is a bit much for me to just add bling around the exact same blade.
