I certainly won't argue that the Sketchen scales look great but the liners are left exposed by design.I like the look, blade shape, and length of the GB2 better but the GB1 is better feeling in my hand. I'd have a hard time picking. Both are way better with some sketchen scales to get rid of that ugly CF that doesn't cover the liner all the way IMO.

I believe the main reason was to give the grip a little contour. Gayle Bradley discusses it in this video...I assumed it wasn't an accident, but what is the reason?
