How are you liking the 52100? I really want to try one of these out but I'm worried I won't like the low wear resistance compared to my other knives.

How are you liking the 52100? I really want to try one of these out but I'm worried I won't like the low wear resistance compared to my other knives.

It stains the easiest of my 4 non-stainless steels. You look at it with moist eyes, and it starts to patina. Doesn't bother me; I like it actually. I want to see how stained I can get it without causing actual rust or pitting.

In terms of wear. I am not sure. Haven't done any conclusive testing. I tend to touch up my knives frequently, so I don't have a good gauge as to how it compares. That said, it is very easy to keep sharp, so I like using it.
