  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

From one extreme to another. Just put the $26 (MAP) Byrd Cara Cara 2 that I carried a few days a way and pocketed the much more expensive Nirvana that I just received in the mail.

F*cking LOVE the Nirvana!

It's MUCH nicer IMO than the Paysan that I also recently purchased/received but almost immediately traded for a Kershaw Tilt. If we're talking about "nirvana," I'm pretty much there now that I own both the Nirvana and the Tilt. It really doesn't get much better than this, at least as far as production folders are concerned.

The integral handle is beautifully engineered (w/o a useless lanyard hole drilled into it), feels slightly better ergonomically than the Paysan's and looks far better w/the lines etched into it to me. There is a bit of lock stick that seems to bother others much more than it does me. Reports by users are that it eventually goes away w/use.

The classic sabre ground drop point blade w/it's flat grey finish also looks great and, like most Taichung made Spyders, the detent is light enough to gravity open the knife, which is something that I like about all Taichung made folders.

Definitely a keeper!
