  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

I have been carrying both of these today! Overlap much?

The Mil has about 0.12" more edge length (measured with the curve on each blade).

That clip looks so Cool! Great minds, man, I've already removed the coating from mine as well but I haven't quite decided what I'm gonna do with it yet. I was thinking purple, but I've been considering experimenting with something more elaborate. I also picked up some Ti Delica hardware but haven't fit tested it yet. Do you mind if I ask your method? I've sanded most of the black off mine (still needs some touch up) before it occurred to me that there may be an easier way.

Not at all. Just normal sanding by hand and finished off with a dremel and polishing compound. My first clip I did, I sanded the whole thing, but was too lazy with the second one as you don't see the underside of the clip. The first clip I heated till bronze and dipped in ferric acid. The second I just heated with a torch on different spots for different durations to get the desired look. Here is the first clip I did:

Thanks for the reply brother! I figured there was some Dremel work involved. Unfortunately mine happens to be at my other house on the other side of the country atm. Prep work is everything with these things tho, so I might just have to pick one up for up here too. It's funny, I've been considering experimenting with that entropic ano as well. Great work on both of em, man!

How do you like it? Waiting on mine now...

Love it! Admittedly I am biased though as I am a long-time Manix fan, and I also dig the color so much that it would be hard for me to find a reason to not like it. Can't speak too much as to the performance of the 20CV yet, as I haven't had a chance to put it to much use and because it (not surprisingly) came screaming sharp out of the box so I haven't sharpened it myself yet.
