Still one of my favorite Para 3s!
I prefer the spyder edge. The Veff serrations do okay but they only cut on the pull. I can pull, push, or cut straight down with the spyderco serrations. I've been using it a bit today and it's not a bad performer. I'm probably going to carry it the rest of the week in place of my SE spyderhawk. I'd like to test it on more materials. When both edges are fresh they cut rope about the same. Of course with the SE edge I can saw in 2 swipes with light pressure. The Veff took about 4. This is 11mm poly /nylon rope for climbing. If I pull hard I can one swipe with either knife. Cutting plastic strapping it seemed the SE had a slight advantage when cutting them flat. The Veff had a slight advantage when cutting them across with just one serration. It has a larger area to hook material into the cut. Tywraps it's kind of a wash too. Again the SE edge cuts both ways the Veff doesn't. Both of these obviously work better with a pull cut though. I'm just curious how they would perform when they start to get dull. I know the spyder edge seems to keep cutting. One thing about the Veff serrations they look pretty cool. How do you like the Veff serrations
