When drawing the fixed blade the folder comes out? I see the retention strap not fastened, I would assume to give quick access?

I just hung it there for the picture. For the most part the retention strap isn't needed. The tension from the belt helps keep it in the sheath. Sal actually cut off the strap on his but I haven't done that yet because I use it when I'm not carrying the knife.

No. Aluminum with Tuffram coating.

Still packing this old clipit endura, but I just picked up this Knipex cobra xs. I can’t remember if I’ve ever gotten stoked over a pair of pliers before. It’s kind of a rad tool.
