Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Time for a change. Put my G10 S30V Native Chief away and put this Gen 2 S/S VG10 Police in my pocket instead.

Much prefer this version to the current iteration of the SS Police (with all the additional clip screw holes). Just looks so much cleaner

Same here. I know why they're there but I absolutely HATE all of the clip holes in the current version of the S/S Police. That's why I've assembled a small collection of the Gen 2s.

FWIW, the difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 is that the Gen 2 has rounded edges around the scale and the Gen 1s do not. Hard to find any Gen 1 versions for sale but IMO the Gen2 are better because of the rounded edges which feel just "right" in my hand. The only other Police that I have is a G10 Gen 3 which also sometimes carry but I don't like the blade profile on the Gen 3 as much because it's fatter than the one on the Gen 2.

The Gen 2 PE pictured above is actually an "odd-ball" variation w/o a Spyder etching on the blade that I use as a "carry" knife which I was able to replace w/the PE in the matching set of Gen 2 PE/PS/SE Police below w/both the name "Spyderco" and the Spyder etched in the blade:
