I made them, really didn't expect them to turn out looking like woodgrain, when the material is flat it looks almost like dark jade g-10

Squeeze that handle too hard while using it, and you’ll likely disengage the lock. Smock has this issue.

I generally use the thumb ramp so pressure off the CME, but you raise a good point and it is definitely worth being aware.

Lol, I couldnt stand a "mess" like that on my key ring and in my pocket. I like it simple in my pocket. Even a big car fob to unlock doors drives me nuts.

A manbug on its own though in side pocket would work, but I dont own one yet
