During the 16 day holiday on my cruise around the UK and parts of Europe, this Salt UK Penknife and a SAK Tinker were the only 2 knives I carried the who time. I didn't need to replace a knife due to confiscation, and didn't need my green UK Penknife in LC200N, nor either of my Viper Dan 2 that I brought just in case. Could have saved myself a couple of pounds in my luggage if I hadn't brought the spares and backups.
So it’s getting cool enough again for my wife to start running outside. No more treadmill. She’s getting ready to run this evening and I say “Hey you need a knife in case some mean dog or who knows a kidnapper tries to get you”. She walks over to my knife drawer and selects the Spyderco Police in K390 I bought this summer. She says, “I like this one and it’s light and it opens easy”. I’m like okay that’s your running knife. Little did she know I specifically bought that knife for her to use when she runs in the evening, or if it’s dark.

I gave my daughter a similar K390 Delica 4 to carry when she runs, and she did for a while; but somehow it's become the "sit on the kitchen table to open letters" knife that she and her husband use. She didn't want to be lectured about carrying it for protection. I'm a failure.

Think I'm going to stick with the G10 Manix for another couple days. Maybe mix it up with the smooth G10 Cruwear if I get bored of the brown.
