Which Spyderco is best for under $100?

Manix 2 without a doubt. Has the ball bearing lock and slices like a laser. ;)

Manix is on my list at some point. Stretch is one of my favorites. Used Para2 or Military.. Maybe a Gayle Bradley if you are lucky to find a good used one.

I say the Native, Delica, Endura, Waved versions of Delica/Endura, Blue Manix, or a Para 2.

Para 2 is probably the best in the $100 range.
However there are several others that are great.

The Manix 2 is a heck of a knife for under $100 and so is the Native. Probably the best Bang for your buck Spydies under $100.

I also would say check out the Spyderco Sage 1 if you want something very nice looking but still have a heck of a knife. And if you're looking for a slicer, you may be able to grab a Spyderco Chaparral - I love mine.

Get the manix lightweight. Smoothe action, no bladeplay, centered, ball bearing lock is super easy to use, attranctive and grippy handles, excellent edge retention, realy cool mirror finish on blade, and the best part... Amazingly light for a 3.5 inch blade!!!

Para 2 is also very good but will cost a little bit more but you can find a used one here on the exchange for $80 more or less.

Any spyderco will be good quality. All you need to do is pick out what appeals to you.

Good luck!!

The Tenacious is a nice knife. It's part of their budget line. The Tenacious was my first Spyderco, I love the knife. But I wish I would have or could have went with one of the more expensive first. The Tenacious is well worth the money though. Very well built and excellent fit and finish. However, I would go with one of the others if you have the cash.

flat-ground plain edge endura in zdp 189. best EDC-SD in that range and, in terms of cutting ability, keeps getting compared with m390 knives costing twice as much.

It's hard to beat the Stretch IMO for a general use EDC knife. I love the blade profile and find it to be "just right" for 90% of the tasks I ask it to perform. FRN while cheesy at times is a great handle material when weight is taken into consideration ounce for ounce it's respectable stuff IMHO.

My vote is for the Endura in ZDP189. Great knife in a cool steel.

Second comes the Manix 2.

Of you want a durable, hard use knife...get the Manix. If you want a 3.75" scalpel, get the Endura.
