Which Spyderco Models Disassemble/Reassemble Nicely?

I’ve never had any of my Spydercos apart, so I can’t attest to a certain model that would be the easiest. But I would imagine any framelock or liner lock should be fairly easy. The Sage 2 should be the simplest because it’s basically known as “the poor mans” Sebenza. I have taken my CRK’s apart and I can attest at how simple they are. The tolerances on CRK’s make it easy.

I've had several of mine apart. Most are pretty easy to get back together if you're smart about it. I like to take pictures as I disassemble. Not always necessary but it can sure save your butt when needed.

One of the easiest models to take apart and put back together is the Native 5 LW. You can assemble everything on one scale. Then all you need to do is set the other scale on the assembly and add the screws for that side. It's surprisingly simple. I'm sure the new linerless G10 and fluted CF versions are the same.

Most of the frame and liner locks are pretty easy. High quality torx screw drivers and a soldering iron (if there is loc tite) is all you need.

Usually you can just loosen the pivot a bit, blow out with compressed air, relube and tighten the pivot.

FRN Dragonfly is quite easy. There's no liners, no washers, the handle is one piece, it's like 10 parts including the screws.

It is a backlock, but it's still pretty easy to reassemble.
