Which Spyderco to buy?

Sorry but.....Para2

You didn't list it, but for your price range it can't be beat.

I got a Lum CF for Christmas and I LOOOOOVE it.

IMO it's a super classy sheeple-friendly gents knife, but also beefy enough to be EDC.

The only reason that the Para 2 isn't on there is that I already have a Paramil 1, and I love the compression lock so I don't really see the 2 as an improvement.
I have a Centifante 3 too, I think the Jd smith is a little bigger, isn't it?
Either way, that size range is what I like for an EDC.
I am really thinking about the Chokwe now too. I carry a framelock a lot, and really like them. The SnG and the Emerson HD-7 are two of my favorite carry knives, I also have a Ti RIL Military, but t really is bigger than I like. I like the JD Smith, by I don't really care for the pinned construction. Maybe it is the engineer in me, but I like to be able to take a knife completely apart. Not that I probably ever NEED to, but it's nice to have the option.

The FFG Manix 2 is pretty cool and there is a M4 Sprint run coming out. The new Para 2 I really like but wasn't real big on the original. The Caly 3 in ZDP is great as is the Stretch 2 carbon fiber which might be discontinued. The Gayle Bradley is cool but I'm not as enamoured as most people are. It's like polished liners somehow make it a custom level knife. These are my favorites.

I'd say the Sage or the Lum.
I do not own either but my wife's friend put me in charge of finding a knife for her husband for a Christmas present. When I received it I opened it before sending to her. I was extremely impressed with the knife. I am going to pick one up now.
I LOVE the look of the Lum but I will buy the Ti Lum.

The Chokwe is a great knife (Hence my earlier suggestion of it), but it's also a fair bit longer than the C3. Lum, Sage, or Smith then. Or the Stretch, if you like the C3. Those two are neck and neck as my favorite Spyderco knife.

I just got a g10 dragonfly and I have to say this little sucker is sweet.
Absolutely sheeple friendly, carries discreetly with the wire clip, and big enough for 99% of the edc chores out there.
Also great in that if you do decide to carry something bigger, it's the perfect size for a secondary as well.

Just to be clear, this knife is not necessarily a secondary knife. This might be the primary and then I'd carry something smaller to use in case sheeple are present. This purchase could be for either or, I haven't decided, hence the presence of the the larger ones and the Dragonfly.

Also, the CF Sage is a liner lock - being a Spydie, I assume it is a tough well made one? Anybody know where to find a pic of the lock-up?

Some photos of the Sage and its lock,

Sorry it’s a bit dirty, it’s a user.

I’ve got a Mamix 2, Delica, Dragonfly and couple of Lum Chinese, but it is the Sage you will find in my pocket
Carried a Caly3 for EDC before Sage, liked it a lot. But the Sage is a little more heavy duty, but not as heavy and large as Manix 2

Haven’t a got a Chokwe or JD Smith yet.
