Which SPyderco would you pick if you were Hannibal Lecter?

I still find it weird - but hey, what do I know?

Thomas Harris knows too well guns, knives, IPSC and fe FBI-regulations agains´t privat guns especially against "Mika Hammer" -style 1911A1. Fed can´t carry .45 only .40. HRT units are other story, those guys are in practice soldiers (of justice department) not agents.
I dont believe that writer want´s/can make so much search that he first checks what guns FBI uses and then puts to his hero (?) hand .45 knowing and saying it´s not allowed. OK, in some parts of book idea it makes sense but...
He also knows that at least in USA model 1911 is popular in combat shooting area. Same think with knives. Spyderco Civilian is odd choice from writer who doesn´t know knives. If he also checks cars and other things whit out before knowledge as carefully as guns then he uses years per book for that.
I assume 99% surely that Harris is "in" guns and knives OR he knows someone who is in. OTOH that doen´t necessary mean that he is pro gun. Only that he knows.
BTW my choice to movie-Hannibal could be also Chinook but in real life (?) Hannibal of course uses as usual (read: easy to get with out leaving evidence) models as possible like Endura or... why not... Harpy.

What he learned, he could have learned from reading a half a dozen gun magazines and a few issues of Tactical Knives. Authors research things and he is one of the better ones at doing this.

And the same goes for a knife...
And, I'm a Usual Suspect.

It is possible but I dont believe it. Do you read dozen magazines according something what really doesnt interest you? I can read maybe one to find info but no more. Harris also gives too much trade marks aso if he is not interested. And without any mistakes.

Hello,

as an executive serial killer myself I would never choose a Spyderco knife.
Why?
Because they are much to sharp !!!
I prefere dull blades: it is much more painful and I am a sadistic (executive) serial killer.
Trust me: a butter knife is the only way to go.

But since Spyderco is now releasing training knives, I am very happy to cut my victims in rubbons with my Delica drones !
It takes hours but what a pleasure !

Serial Killing is to be also good when no one, especially the Police, is watching you and you are alone in the dark, waiting for an innocent victim....

But seriously I hope their will be more movies featuring good guys using Spydies they desserve much more attention and advertising than that !
This film is going to create another witchhunt against knives users...

cheers,

JM
