Hello,
I just bought what should be a yojimbo 2 but the blade is different.
May you tell me if this is a real Spyderco or a fake because I don’t find it on internet.
Dimensions are moreless the same as Y2 but the blade is different.
I thank you.

It's obviously a fake. Below is pic of a real one. The differences are readily apparent.

I was going to say with the aftermarket looking clip it might be a custom blade regrind but even the scales look like a different shape.

Clearer, zoomed-in pictures would be much more useful for id, but..

I'm thinking real, but heavily modified. There was a DLT Trading tan 20cv exclusive. I believe the OP's knife is that exclusive run model with modded scales and a chopped down blade..

Look at the scales right where they end and the blade begins. The real deal has a flat on the scales keeping your fingers from the blade while the one in the pic above looks pointed.

Or I need new glasses.

You're absolutely correct. And a couple passes with a dremel tool gets the scales to where they are in the OP pics..

Again, I'd love to see more detailed pictures.. I may well be wrong, but based on what I see, I believe this is a legitimate Spyderco knife that has been modified. The scale color looks correct for the DLT exclusive, the hardware looks correct, lockbar access looks correct, font placement looks correct (if not detailed in pics), Spyderco logo & Michael Janich's maker mark placement both look correct...

Maybe we could say that the only difference is the disappearance of the curve ?
Do you have an idea of what could be the purpose of doing this ?

S30V is printed on the blade in the OP's photo.

No S30V ever came w/tan scales or a deep pocket clip.

Why is it so hard to accept that it's a fake? 🤔

If it's not a fake, it's a badly butchered franken knife that's really not worthy of any serious consideration. 🤷

Hmm I really can't tell whether it says "CPM S30V" or "CPM 20CV" in the blurry OP images, but, it's likely that your computer screen is better than my ancient desktop monitor..

The clip looks an awful lot like a Lynch clip, but really, why would anyone ever buy one of those, right?

As hard to accept as the thought someone may want modify their knife to suit their aesthetic preferences, apparently..

Based on the two blurry, zoomed-out OP pics, I think my hypothesis was plausible. Seeing the additional pictures (for some reason stacked on top of each other?), it's obvious the knife is fake. I hereby publicly apologize for giving the OP the benefit of the doubt and for any offense caused in the presentation of knife-related commentary antithetical to bf group-think.

Haha in my defense, I did give myself an out.. twice.. over the crappy pictures..

I doubt that one could create that straight spine on a real Yojimbo2 blade without grinding off part of the bug logo and part of Mike's mark on the other side. I'd have to go with fake as well.

Let’s start with where was it purchased from? Clear photos of all the factory markings. Ive seen custom jimbos and jumbos done like this. The markings are the key to answer real or fake.

Needs better pics. It is interesting how the spine gets close to the markings as if it were intentionally ground down. Also the scale's ridges seem more rounded out. Either the seller really went to town and did some modifications which isn't uncommon for things sold on Etsy or it is a fake. PS: there are plenty of fake lynch clips sold by Chinese sellers on eBay, which would be easier to put on your clone than making a good Spyderco knockoff clip with a quality logo manufactured into it.
