Which spyderco you have that you would purchase to have as a backup?

I have a couple backups for my dragonfly in HAP40, and a second ZDP Lum Chinese

Yeah that Spyder bite can be rough on the funds for sure, but the wait makes you appreciate it that much more when you get it. :D The GB1 is getting harder to find, but you can't go wrong with any flavour of the Stretch as far as I'm concerned. Whichever Spydie you decide on, be sure to post some pictures! :thumbup:
 
I have a PM2 Burple in S110V steel..... I just got in a Spyderco Crow that I've been using this week so I don't accidentally mess up my nice PM2. Pretty darn good knife for $44 shipped!

Used it to open seed containers, and fertilizer bags that I tilled into the garden yesterday. Yes, I cleaned it up afterwards. :D
 
Got a backup chaparral 4, and a backup stretch frn combo edge, and multiple backups of the sheepsfoot ladybug spyderedge which is the best climbing harness knife ever made.
 
I have duplicates (or more) of a couple models: C22 CF Walker, Military, PM2, Pacific Salt, Techno, C42 Viele and Delicas (the wife and daughter see those as theirs..)
 
I know it's not exactly what you're talking about, but because they have identical blades, I'm going to half-count my Sages. On the flip side, I'd like another PM2 in a different steel. i generally don't buy exact duplicates, but there are designs that I like and get variations of. if i were to buy a clone of any of my Spydercos, it would probably be another ZDP-189 Dragonfly 2.
 
I have about 10 Delicas, most in ZDP.

A few Stretchs in ZDP and a few Caly 3.5s in VG10.
 
I have backups to Dragonflies, Delicas, and Manbugs. I am holding out on buying a Military backup to see what the new update will bring.
 
Three Air, two Des Horn, and two Yojimbo 2. That's all I have. I really want the Bradley TAC but fear I might end up with two of those also.
 
I only have a zdp delica and a spydie edge native. Looking to add a vg 10 saber grind delica.

I don't play the field much. I tend to lock in on a few models that I like and buy multiples. The only model I don't have multiples of is the GB1. The Stretch, Para, Millie, Delica & Pac Salt all have Sisters and Brothers.
 
I have a few knives that I enjoy so much that I purchased future replacements, including some Stretch variations, Caly, Delicas, Military, Dialex Junior, Lava, Navaja, Breeden Rescue, Chokwe, etc.



Now... who's gonna be the one to like the Nirvana enough to purchase a back up! Yikes.
 
The only knife I have multiples of is the Delica. Different configurations, though!
 
Of 65 knives, Spyderco Viele II...perfection. Al Mar SERE is great, too.

Another Sage 2 or Delica would not be turned down. My Tenacious is usually my Spyderco backup, and outdoors knife.
