  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Which Spydercos are you warming up to?

Well----- sharpened a couple of Delicas for a friend so ordered an Endura,,,, just got off of knife works where I got an Endura zdp-189 a Stretch in zdp-189 and an Endura wave!!!!! Geeeeezzzzeeee!!!!!! Think I will give the wave to the son!!! He will love it!!! And I'm supposed to be a Benchmade/Kershaw guy for cryin out loud!!!!!!!! :-0 WTF ????

I wasn't a fan of the chokwe neither. Same with the junior and Perrin ppt. Don't know why I wasn't, because they are 3 of my favorite spydercos now.

I'm definitely drawn to the Tatanka and oddly enough, because I usually don't go for small knives, the Worker. The blade shape really appeals to me.

Me as well. One of the few SpyderCo Folders in the 5" realm. Even next to a Manix 2 XL, it's a BIG knife. (Big by SpyderCo standards). In the other direction I like the Pingo. Hoping to see one in all spyderserrated edge soon.

I've liked the Spyderco Southard since day one, but wasn't sure I wanted to fork out the money for it. I love Brad Southard's custom knife designs, and love the collaboration that Spyderco has done with him. Aesthetically, the knife is fantastic. I love the lines and visual balance incorporated into this knife. Lately, it has been really getting my attention more and more, and has bumped itself up to the top of my list. Do I need another knife in this price range? Probably not. Do I want it? Absolutely. Hopefully, I can find a light user and save a little money when the time comes.

Pretty new to Spyderco's. They are all pulling me in quite frankly. Aquired an Air, GB Folder and Tuff so far, w/ many on my short list. The ones I've recently done a 180` on are the Ulize, Tatonka, Tusk, Dodo and hey.....what ever happened to the Phoenix?

Got any pics of the Air? I would get one if it had a pocket clip, preferably a wire one.

Nilakka.

Not a tough "beat me up" tactical folder, but by god, it slices like nobody's business and just feels great in the hand. Honestly, as a lefty, I was really skeptical, but this thing middle finger flicks so quick...

In the past 2 years I've really gained an affinity for Spyderco's fixed blade models. For me it started quite a while ago with the Temperance 1 model. I was lucky enough to land both the PE & SE versions of that great fixed blade and I've used both of them extensively in the past few years. I like the Temperance 1 model so well that it has made me put some other fixed blades on my want list to the back burner. I do want a Southfork and a Temp 2 really bad but the Temp 1 has really done me quite well for all my fixed blade cutting chores.

It goes without saying that I'm also a fanatic on my of Spyderco's specialty blades like their Hawkbills, Reverse S blades and their recurves have even gotten my attention. But Spyderco's fixed blades are truly designed with function and longevity like few others I've ever seen. They have truly made vast improvement in that sector of the market in the past few years.

I don't know of any other commercial knife company that has as many specialty knives as Spyderco does.

The Techno. At first I was indifferent about it. When I noticed the thickness of the blade I thought the thing was kind of ridiculous. I got a chance to handle one and realized the thick spine made for a comfortable choked up grip. Besides, it looks great!
