Which Surefire with my Busse ?

Don,

You are right! my surefire dates are off..

It has probably been 8 years since I bought my 6P with the smooth rubber tail cap...

I'm older than I thought!

Man! time flies...

Bill, I was the one who thought he was going senile! :D

Time does fly. I came across the original box for my 6P, the early silvery-grey and black, the boxes that almost like a generic box of macaroni and cheese. I haven't seen a box like that in years.

I wish that time would fly into mid-year when some of the cool new goodies are due for release. I'm lusting after a new Busse or two while working on a shopping list now, and it doesn't look pretty... :(

Some great information Don.., and everyone. I've got a few smaller SF's...(E1 & E2).., but all the information was really helpful!

Thanks...

I'm glad I asked this question. Got my 6P last week, I've been very happy with it. Looking at getting an E2e next, however, what about the E1? Would that be easier to carry everyday. What exactly am I going to be giving up.

I tell you that 6P found a home with my Busse's right away. Both of them are obviously the best in their fields. :D:D

Folks,

I'm carrying a surefire G2. Fits in my business casual slacks. Doesn't seem to corrode or scratch. Not too pricey.

What do you folks think?

Eric,

E2, E2e and 6P produce 65 lumens for 60 min on 2 lithium batteries.
The E2 and the E2e are much slimmer and have pocket clips. This light will temporarily blind you.

E1 and E1e produce 15 lumens for 90 minutes on 1 lithium battery. both have pocket clips. This light will not really temporarily blind you, but it is great for everyday uses.

The new E2e and E1e have a redesigned clip, are waterproof, have lock-out tail caps, choice of finishes, and choice of pyrex or lexan "glass"(Im sure there are more upgrades)

Hope this helps

Good Evening Everyone-

Don't own any Busse Combat knives yet, but I do own a few SureFires. Here is how they're scattered about:

  • 9ANHA-Commander for home & automobile use
  • M2HA Centurion for the briefcase with filters. This is the preferred model for hiking, skiing, or during urban exploring.
  • E2HA in automobile center-console + spares carrier

My job is in a high-rise office building, so no telling when a powerful light could become helpful. Haven't seen the new "e" designation models, but the Hard Anodized (HA) is the desired finish on whichever model you may choose.

It's funny how "interests" seem to blend together among forumites.

Any Assault Shaker feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated at this BladeForum string.

Regards,
