Which Surefire?

I am a big fan of the A2 -- hours of bright LED flood and regulated bright throwing incandescent beam when needed.

Thanks for the help everyone but the shiny new 6P arrived today, im really impressed with it, bright and small. unfortunatly im saving again for the next one, perhaps one that doesnt get as hot!!

Congrats, that's a nice torch. You gotta start saving for your investment in the Elite series. Start with an E2e or E2L and build from there. The 6P will only get you going for a slimmer light in HA!

I've seen prices on eBay for the Executive Defender running under a hundred bucks. Is that a good price, or is it just scamming? I'm fine with my Maglites and have been looking at an Inova, but I'd like to get a Surefire.

I was serching just like you are...........I opted for the L2

i sure agree with that, the Z2/M2/etc are great lites dont get me wrong but with the std bulbs installed the E2e will do anything they will and its lots easier to carry, now ya get up to an M3/M4, now thats getting a lot brighter than the E's. i really love my E2e w/the KL1 on it, almost as bright as the Z2 but with good batt life and a lot smaller package, when i firts started doing the surefire thing i thought the E's were a lot dimmer than the Z/M/P's. now i wanna try a KL4 on my E2e, i wish i woulda bought that 1 to begin with, but its 2X as much and i wasnt sure how the SF LEDs worked at the time so $50 was easier to swallow than $100+, shouldnt have been worried though with SF. oh they do work great let me tell ya i had no idea LEDs were that bright.

There is a Mag Led coming on line soon. The most convenient Surefire is the G2, but it is advisable to obtain a battery/lamp holder with a spare lamp.

If you think you're "fine" with your Maglights, you're gonna shit yourself when you try a Surefire.

I don't know why I would need a 150 dollar flashlight, but I didn't think I'd need a 350 folder before I came here :D.
