Which Swiss Army Knife?

I like the Victorinox Huntsman. It has all the tools I want and isn't overly bulky.

Victorinox Climber in StayGlow Yellow!!!!!

I love the color - it really does glow in the dark!!

My own "necessary" list:
-plain edge blade
-scissors
-can opener
-awl
-screwdriver blade
-tweezers

The Camper has a saw, but not the scissors.
The Climber has scissors, but not the saw.
The Huntsman has both scissors and the saw.

I don't need the saw since I carry a larger Sven saw or a full bow saw. I assume the Huntsman is a tad thicker, having 4 blades thick, as opposed to the Climber, which is 3 blades thick.

I like a U.S. Mil-K knife. Camillus is the easiest to find, but they were made by a half dozen other companies for years as well. All stainless, built like a tank, and well designed. Nope, no scissors, nail file, toothpick, tweezers, eyelash curlers, or pliars, just an honest utility knife with a tough shackle and four handy blades.

The Swisschamp XL because it's got it all.:D
Scott

The Cybertool, because it includes the different screwdriver and torx bits. Any Swiss Army I carry HAS to have scissors.

Trailmaster (I think it's called something else now, though.)
- I don't need a corkscrew and it has the phillips instead. My wife, however, disagrees with that logic... so I'm shopping for a different knife for her.
- Larger size works better for me, especially when it's cold.
- I like locking blades. Wish the saw locked, though.

I like the Forester lock blade and Huntsman they have the tools I want and need. I also have a Spartan (I think thats the name) in my go bag. I always have a Classic in my pocket probably the knife I use the most because its always there. :)

Love them little boogers! Carried the Huntsman for years...

Got away form carrying the Champ when I jumped to A Leathe rman wave as an EDC.

My favorite is the Deluxe Super Tinker...

I just bought (2) of the Discontinued "Recruit" as Christmas presents for my daughter (2 and a half) and my son (1 Month) for the day when they are old enough for them.

And....ACE hardware was running a special on the "Original Swiss Army Knife"form Victroinox...$8.99. a piece so I bought a couple for whatever....

I am not a big fan of scissors...just me...and they are handy...prefer the Squirt in my BOB...or on a key ring...which reminds me I should pick up another one ...

I prefer the alox handled Vics myself, the blades are thicker and the back springs are stronger than the plastic handled SAKs. My EDC is a Vic Farmer, large blade, awl, saw, screwdriver/can & bottle opener blades. I personally don't have any real use for the big SAKs that have enough tools on them to overhaul a truck or build a house. YMMV
Gene :D

Mostly an alox Soldier, which has the same tool selection as the above posted Camillus. For a larger selection of tools I prefer the Ranger.

Huntsman for me, generally. The Camper is nice as well, and one layer thinner. I miss the scissors, though.

compact every day, small with scissors and a pen, Mountaineer in my pack, I think its like the climber only plus a nail file. I am a massage therapist so the file is critical to my survival;-)>

Vic Huntsman usually, I used to carry a Soldier sometimes but now a Farmer has taken its place. I occasionally carry a Camillus Utility as a beater, similar to the one posted by Codger_64.

Alox Farmer too, I even wishe they would have one without the drivers & openers- just blade, saw and reamer.

Swiss Army FIreman model. I EDC it.

RAtional:

Its the only large bladed SAK (which IMHO is the only way to go) which has 2 blades and the wood saw. Its blades lock and are large enough to actually do something with.

It has 2 large blades in case one snaps, remember redundancy.;)

The saw works amazingly well too.

It has everything I need and nothing I dont save the corkscrew.

Yeah, bought one for my wife's brother-in-law, who is an Asst. Chief. He likes it too.
