Which Swiss Army Knife?

Carried a Victorinox Climber for a couple years and liked it okay. My most favored and used so far has been my Vic Outrider model. I prefer its longer blade, saw, larger more ergo handle shape (plus matte finish scales), and the lock on the main blade.

On the downside, I view its lock as non-existant since it looks pretty flimsy relative to lockbacks or even linerlocks. I would change a couple of its tools to get my personal SAK-Of-Choice: lose the little phillips screwdriver for a metal file and lose the corkscrew for a #2 phillips screwdriver.

The SAK that I'm interested in checking out eventually is the Locksmith model from Victorinox. It has the tools I want (large blade, saw, metal file/saw, #2 phillips, can opener) along with the larger matte handle. I would only add a scissors to it.

I would add to my list: Victorinox Current Issue German military pocket knife

It looks like an adequate tool...though probably a German equivalent/version of one of those I already listed.

I have a Wenger Adirondack and think it is well suited to EDC tasks. It's one of a few mid-size SAKs with a locking mian blade and that was the main reason I got it. I wonder why Victorinox doesn't offer some of their mid-sizes with a lock?

Mostly an alox Soldier, which has the same tool selection as the above posted Camillus. For a larger selection of tools I prefer the Ranger.

EXACTLY my choice, too.

I think the Ranger is the "smallest" SAK that has every thing you really need in the field.

I combine Spartan Lite and Latest Bundeswehr OH (One Hand). The LED is good, plus nothing I don't need.
The OH Bundeswehr (German Army) is useful for the saw and large locking blade (in case I need to cut melon).

Solo Alox, it is a very nice slipjoint which i can EDC, i also always have a Classic on my keyring, i don't really need and sak with too many functions because i also carry a leatherman
