Which tough folder

Rekat Sifu. D2 steel. Extremely tough. Also, Cold Steel's Recon 1, or their Voyagers. Gotta love 'em.

Being tall, I have no problem carrying the TOPS Magnum in my front pocket. I usually wear jeans, and the pocket shape keeps it upright in there.

However, I usually just put it in the pouch on my belt as Jay said, without a second glance from anyone.

I'll be posting two rescue stories that happoened this week using my TOPS Magnum -- they both illustrate how tough a knife it is...one of 'em is kinda funny too.

Hey, Brian, hurry up with those rescue stories. I'm beginning to get interested in the TOPS Magnum (hunter's point) and would like to hear more about this knife in actual use. Thanks.

Toothed: Do a search for "Tops Magnum" with BladeForums search engine and you will find a bit of additional info you are looking for. I can honestly say I have never read one bad review of the knife anywhere!

The hunter's point is the version I have also.

jayharley, thanks for the response. Actually, I already did that search and read the favorable posts about the TOPS Magnum (usually about the tanto version). I'd like to hear more about the hunter's point model and real life experiences about it's carry and use. This sure sounds like what I would be looking for if I'm in the market for a "tough folder." So I guess this is not off topic at all.

I should be able to get a little time today to write up the rescue stories -- I'll post in a separate thread. One was prying open a bathroom door in a bar to rescue a woman stuck in there, the other was a woman who hit a deer and I had to put the deer down and cut through her lower front fender (that hard plastic composite, not metal) to make the SUV driveable again.
