Which traditional folders ?

Rmfnla,

Not a troll here. Usually into tacticals (fixeds and folders) and traditional hand forged fixed blades. I don't really carry traditional folders, but am thinking about it now. I had some pretty bad experience with slip joints. The Case that I have has horizontal blade play. The Ohta folder (Japanese maker; Hiroaki Ohta I think) that I used to own has gaps between handle slabs and liners. However, being a true knifenut, I'm inclined to try the traditonal once more. :) No apologies needed because to err is only human.

For the rest of you, I thank you for your help. I have been interested in the Queen Cutlery Mountain Man, but I was not so sure about it until I heard from you guys. I have no problems in putting new bevel in knives as I usually do so with my new ones. I'll think about the Queen and Case, and I'll let you guys know when I'll start carrying the traditional.

Many thanks, and I really appreciate it. GBU.

I like single bladed knives spring back knives that you can open with one hand coming out of your front pocket, as with the Arkansas Hunter.......

Thanks for the slack; I am so used to the caustic atmosphere of other forums I need to get used to how civil this group really is.
