Dear Friends,

I am the manufacturer of Knife Blades, Hunting Knives, Folding Knives, Swords and Daggers so I would like to register our company in USA. I need your expert opinion that which state is best for the knife business?

Why would you think the General room here at BF would know which of 50 states is the best?

Many states would be good, but you need to find out about business licence fees, taxes and such. Not just which states already have knife companies.

Are these products made in the USA??

I am sure the folks from Oregon would disagree with you.

Omar

Theyre not necessarily gonna disagree with me because Im posing a question not an opinion. I guess so... There is no tax on goods as a consumer which is so alien to me here in California. Also Oregon seems to be a lot more friendly tax wise on businesses especially compared to where Im at.

I can't say which state is best for knives, but a few things to consider. 1. State income taxes 2. Employment laws and taxes 3. Some states require that when you incorporate in their state that if you are not a resident, that you must at least visit that state once per year.

Are you a custom maker or a large manufacturing company. If you are a custom maker, the search engine will be your friend in determining the small business climate is in each state. If you are a large manufacturing company, you probably don't need that information from this source. Best of luck and welcome, whichever you are. ...Teddy

He's asking a meaningless question, just looking to get our interest up in his knife business. Minor spam.
