Which way do you carry?

Depends on where I am. Smaller knives and traditionalis go into a pouch in my right pocket at work. On the weekend I keep an additional knife clipped in my left pocket tip up. If I do keep a knife clipped on the right side then tip up or down doesn't matter.

Tip up, Left front pocket. However, i just got a Strider PT CC that will be riding in a belt sheath today. I'll see how i like it. I'm thinking it will be nice to free up the pocket space.

However they come, and more often than not, they just flop around in my pocket. I rarely , if ever, need lightning fast access.

Yep, I practice the draw several (couple dozen) times every day, I also don't use that knife for anything else to keep it as sharp as possible. Its very easy to do but you gotta keep muscle memory built up for something like that.

Very true.

Always tip up, main blade for the day in right side pocket, secondary blade for the day in left side pocket, and sometimes my Strider PT rides in a leather sheath on my belt.

Tip up or tip down is largely irrelevant to me. I carry knives in my backpack, on my belt, in my FR pocket, on my keychain, in my backpack, neck carry, in my boot, pretty much any way a knife can be carried.

Given the choice, tip up right hand and a slipjoint dropped in the right front pocket.
My spyderco military is tip down not by choice and my kershaw leek is tip down only because i cut my pinky bad on it once when it opened in my pocket after the lock un-did itself. I don't carry it much now though, it likes to open in the pocket a lot. Also my Microtec UTX-70 OTF is tip down.

Both left and right (I'm ambidextrous) tip up. Tip up is easier to deploy quickly when removing the knife from ones pocket.

Tip up L/R front pocket, clipped. Tip down for fixed blades :D L and/or R hip, depending on if I am carrying 1 or 2 on the day in question.

Tip up because I like to have the lanyard hanging out of my pocket and it puts my hand in perfect position for opening and using.
Right hand, because I'm right handed and this is most comfortable for me, even if the knife is riding in my left pocket.

I prefer tip down. easier for me to reach the studs/spyder hole to open the knife. i'm right handed so usually right pocket.

Sunday to church - Buck solo, however it positions itself in my left front pocket

Mon through Sat - most of my pants have 2 side pockets on the right leg (sometimes called 'tech' pockets) I carry my Leatherman Sidekick clipped in the smaller outside pocket and my Sage 1 unclipped in the larger inside pocket. The Sage disappears in the pocket but I pulled it up for the pic...

Right front pocket tip up. Sometimes tip down of that is the only option for a particular knife. I have tried back pocket carry, but didn't care for it.

I carry a few ways: watch pocket (traditionals), front right pocket clipped (edc), right waist band clipped (discreet), left front pocket clipped (waved), horizontal front belt (small/thin fixed), right hip vertical (bigger fixed/axe), right front pocket (fixed blade w/o belt)

Oh, and I vastly prefer tip up in every knife I've had.

That's pretty much all and in order of frequency

Usually tip-up right front pocket. If it is an assisted opener I will keep it tip down usually and carry it in my right back pocket.

Tip up, left front pocket. Why? Two reasons:
1. I'm a lefty.
2. My pistol is carried on my right hip since I'm right eye dominant.

Right side front pocket. I worked in one field where you had to wrap a shop towel around your belt buckle and having an exposed knife clip could mar a customers paint job so no go on clips.
