Which would you buy?

If i was to spend that much money I would get the sr1, its just really good looking. The Umnumzaan would be a close second.

PS: just my opinion, but that "model 19" is a aesthetic abomination. No offense.

I saw that one as well and thought WTF?? Reminds me of this one (the kershaw leek with technicolour LSD tripping paint job.)

Funny story. A buddy whipped out his technicolour knife and was bragging about how much better his knife was than mine (An opinel #9) and how he "only" paid $150 for it. Either he is a liar, or he got ripped off . He stopped bragging when my 13 dollar knife out-sliced his. lol.

I would go with the strider or the umnum. Plain, simple and functional. Thats how I like my knives. I don't like the look of those damascus etches. Too busy for my eye.

Out of those, lion steel would be my choice. But you are starting to get into custom territory at that price point. Have you looked at mike irie? He makes some great knives at reasonable prices. If fit and finish is important to you, John w smith is one to look at.

Of those listed, another vote for the zaan. However, I'd look into getting a sebenza micarta insingo, considering all their perks (blade shape, stronger tip and lighter weight)- been watching too many youtube videos lately of them. Really curious on how they handle.

Dude anything warren thomas you'll be happy with. I have a model 2.5 tanto in urban camo, a green g10 hak, a p1 toxic green bashido (US version), a urban camo pack knife, and an orange slcc. Can't go wrong with his stuff.

Wow that's quite a collection. Do u have any pics? Would love to see as I'm not 100% familiar with all of those.

Lately I've been contemplating the warren Thomas m19. I haven't been able to locate a model 2.5 for sale yet.

well mattdtactical is where i got my model 2.5 but he sold the other one. check out advancedtacticalknives talk to michael hes a really good guy thats where i bought my p1 green bashido and slcc. ebay usually has a few of his blades floating around on there. i believe ebay has a fixed blade m19 up right now. this is the orange slcc.

Do you use your wt knives or just collect them? I'm curious to see how they hold up. I love the way they look and the idea behind them but I worry a bit about their functionality. There isn't a ton of info on them on the Internet.

Some I use just for collection like my higher end ones. But I haven't had a problem with the ones I use. I usually only do light duty stuff with them maybe some medium use once in awhile. I usually carry one or two on me for self defense as well. They hold up well because of the carbide edge being that titanium is a softer metal and i do believe that it helps resharpen as you use it. they dont do good in the paper test but do amazing in the tomato test where as some really sharp knives are the opposite. Different knives have different purposes though.

I'm debating on getting a Rc or an m19 to carry alongside my edc such as bm mini onslaught or sage 1. It's hard to make a choice without getting the chance to bond one and see how it feels in the hand

Well Ive never held those but Ive talked to people who have and they said they like em. I like something with a belly if Im going to use it and carry as an edc but if its a last ditch its whatever. I might be getting rid of my 2.5 in the picture ill be trading it for a WT SLCC in orange. The guy Im trading to might already have a buyer lined up but if not I can tell him your interested. Expect a heafty price tag I bought it for $675 and its brand new Ive never used it its the TI/Carbon fiber tanto so expect it to be around that price. If you want it let me know send me an email ill pm you and you can start talking to this guy about it.
