Which would you rather have?

Neither the Sebenza, nor the Alias interest me. I'd take the Gayle Bradley on its own over both of the others.

The Umnumzaan on the other hand...

I have all 3 knives. Id go with Bradley & Bradley. Im not knocking the seb

at all. I use my Gayle Bradley more than the seb or the Alias....I love the

cpm4 steel and the HD build on the GB

If I had to narrow it down to 1 it'd be the GB.....Lots of Knife for the $$$.

dollar for dollar the gayle bradley shades the others totally. not only is the bradley 2.5 times the knife for the dollar ,the bradley is the best spydie in their entire line. superior alloy , built like a rolls royce, & certainly the strongest of the entire spydie line. i have stretchs, millies, enduras, some in s30 some zdp & vg10 but the bradley is clearly the best bang for the buck in all of spydie land.

The Alias appeals to me more than the Sebenza. I know the Seb is a great knife, but so is the Bradley. The Sebenzas style simply doesn't do anything for me, and the Alias does.

The Alias costing less is just a bonus IMHO. :)

I'd take the Alias and GB in that hypothetical choice.

These questions are always case by case for me. The GB and the value it presents is the reason I chose that option.

Ya, after I wrote that I was waiting for someone to reply with something like that.... lol:cool:

Yah but that is only because Jaguars ARE Fords :D

Personally I'd go with the Alias and the Spyderco and have 2 nice knives to play with. The Alias is a handsome knife, and you can beat the hell out of the Spyderco without worrying so much.

Try to forget all the hype and go with the one most comfortable to you. I've handled Sebenzas and I still don't see enough there to buy one.

I personally don't like the style, the blade shape, or the construction. I guess it's like comparing a Jaguar to a BMW in some respects, I just prefer the Sebenza.

I know the Alias is a fine knife, however I am happier with the Sebenza. If you really just need to convince yourself give CRK a call and talk to them for a bit. Explain the differences between their knives and others.

Comparing a Jaguar to a BMW? So far as I'm aware those two companies compete in approximately the same market segment. They're both luxury car companies.

If you can afford it get the sebenza. If you want to save cash just get the gayle bradley. while the Alias series are nice knives, they never impressed me much.

Maybe a Aston Martin to a BMW, or a BMW to a Saab. I don't drive cars anymore, I might be mixing them up.

It's not cpm4, it is CPM-M4 :foot:

Sorry but I have seen you write cpm4 a lot and had to say something :o

And I would take the Gayle Bradley and something else. The Sebenza is nice but I have no desire to own one and pay the premium partly for the name, partly for the machining tolerances that I don't need. For that kind of money I would at least want the latest flavor of super steel as I'm not a huge fan of S30V, especially at 58 HRC. I now appreciate steel that has been hardened to the mid 60s HRC as it sharpens easier (less burr) and typically holds an edge longer. Just my opinion.

Sebenza, been eyeing that knife a lot lately. Have the money, but I'd rather buy 4-6 decent knives for that price. Good Luck on your purchase!
