If you are buying the knife as a safe queen then there is no real point in us breaking down the actual merits of each knife as being a knife. This seems like a subjective aesthetics question which only you can answer. Just get the one you like the looks of best and be happy!

Now, if resale value is a consideration when buying then I would suggest a better strategy in spending your money. Knives as an investment rarely work out. You'll break even at best. If you think you'll need the money down the road just keep the money.

Hahaha....yea, I'm kinda gathering that most really dont like the sprints they have out right now, which is another factor in my purchase...resale value, not that I plan on ever selling it but if it comes to that, I dont want to get something that most will turn their nose up at

Might I recommend that you buy something that you like, then? If you're buying something in the hopes that others won't "turn their nose up" at it, you're proooooobably wasting your time. 99.999999999999% of the folks you'll ever meet in your life aren't knife people. Those you meet who ARE knife people will see your new ZT 0095 or 0462 and be like "SWEET, someone else with a quality knife, and not another gas station no-hit wonder!". They'll just be glad to see someone else with the sickness. As for resale value, any limited run you can still get your hands on probably won't appreciate much. All of the actually super desirable sprint runs tend to vanish quick.

1EBB340E-A21B-4C79-BC6A-DBF3E744417B.jpeg Me, personally, would get neither. If want unique a cool ano job is more appealing to me and tons of folks do good ones. Like this for instance. And I agree, knives as an investment is not that valuable imo. But in the end, just buy what you like, enjoy it any way you like (cutting crap or locking up in a safe and knowing it is there or tossing off a bridge to see how big a splash it makes in the river).

Go look at the custom ZTs at USAMadeBlade. I think you can get a better iteration of either of these knives there, along with some customized ZTs that I think are better knives overall.

0095 wins me. The excessive curve of 0462 never is appealing to me. But if I am to buy a 0095 it would be the tiger stripe version.

Yeah I agree, get a knife you like rather than one as an investment. People who want sprint runs get them while they are available, everybody else passes or jumps on a good deal when it comes down the pipe later. And everybody who wants that knife might just as easily get the regular version.

I have the 0609BLK, 0393BRZ and the 0095TS (to match my 0303). The 0393, which is based on the Hinderer Eklipse design, is my favorite by far. But, I would recommend the 0095 series if you're planning to carry your knife. It's nice design ergonomically speaking. It doesn't flip well out of the box, but if you can loosen the pivot and add a little lube it will get there. The 0609 has been somewhat of a disappointment, but it still looks cool.

When it comes to the 0462 (I've been mulling this over) I think I prefer the regular stock model. The all-black seems to "eat up" that sweeping Sinkevich design.

Quite honestly, I'm saving my ZT-earmarked nickels for the 0450FCDAM. I've been conflicted over the 0450 for some time--on certain days it appears to me as a glorified steak knife. But this particular iteration just might be glorified enough. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this model the first ZT Damascus blade?

0095 with S90V (the all flat black one)
This one sits in the safe. Nice knife; pivot is a bit too tight to flip without a wrist flick, but that's fine. I don't use it. If it were lighter, I'd carry it.

The 0450FCDAM will almost double the price of the the two knives that the OP is talking about. Also, given that the recent 0450FCZDP is selling poorly on the secondary market, I'm not sure if 0450FCDAM is something to invest unless one really likes it.

Yea it is intresting, the 450fcdam has not been received very well from what I have gathered. Not sure why, being as it is their first Damascus. I think if they would have done something different with the handle like CF or something with a better design instead of just square boxes milled into it would have done much better. Notice all the triples they have done in the past had CF handles and are tripleing in price and value

I don't like either but if I had to choose... The 0095 it's also got better steel and the ergos are better imho.
Exactly how I feel. 0095 would be a better user.

Agreed about the 0452ti over the 0462.

I voted 0462BLK mostly because I already have 2 sprint runs of the 0095, the BLK and the tiger stripe version both in S90V. Don’t get me wrong, I love my regular 462, I just wished they used 20CV on the sprint runs too. Either way it’ll probly be a safe queen anyway when I have the money to purchase one soon lol
