I'm psyched! While everyone was busy refreshing to get the Sus Scrofa, this little piglet was able to sneak up to the trough and snag an SFNO off the exchange:thumbup:

Wrong in so many ways, but congrats!

Well I certainly won't be able to afford the Sus Scrofa now, but that's OK because an SFNO is the Busse I most wanted to find.

I just hope my budget (and my wife) recovers in time for the Anniversary SH.

I saw that too. Congrats bro. I would say that if I didn't already have an NO-E I would have jumped on that. But you were quicker either way. Nice job. Remember to use that baby and take pics. :)

Believe me I was panicking a little bit. I've been looking for any SFNO, regardless of style, that I could find multiple times every day. Then, right after I convinced my wife it was an OK idea the batteries in my cordless keyboard went dead. I had the screen up to reply "I'll take it" and the keyboard wouldn't type:eek: I had my wife scrambling around for batteries and finally found some in the camera. I was sure it would be gone. Happily, for me at least, it was still there and I got it.

I saw it well before you, but don't like SNFO's. Esp. at the monsterous prices they command. :O Sadly, no chatter in the Exchange so I couldn't get the oft-said "I posted here first" post. ;)

Good job. It is a nice knife. They are just. . . GULP. . . expensive.

unbelievable!!! Where the hell did that come from....better yet, where the hell was I???

Congrats bro...Major Score!

Man...nice score!! Those pups are commanding quite a price now aren't they!?! I'm banking off the hope that they're released again and I can buy one for the original price (more like 4 or so).

I'll second pbusby. My heart thumped when I saw it at about 10:05, dropped when I saw the finish, and stopped when I saw the price. That little experience motivated me to e-mail Garth at the Custom Shop to see if I could get the finish and slabs of my choice for about the same price. Garth's response may well bolster my patience to the point that I'll wait for (drum roll, please),THE RETURN OF THE SFNO. I DO want one, but not that combo of finish and price.
That having been said, congrats to XMP for scoring a highly sought after exemplar of the fine products from those wonderful whackos in Wauseon, BUSSE COMBAT.
Post script: I'll pass on Garth's reply as I imagine that there may be others interested in the same info. Pete

Thanks everyone. I definitely plan on using it.

Even though I finally snagged one, I'd still be very interested in the reintroduction of the SFNO, so can you be more specific. What did Garth say?

You know what's a bit odd? That we haven't seen any SFNOs emerge in any of the recent Ganzaaaas. Usually, an old model or two pops up.

There was the SOW variant with red scales, but no straight-up SFNO.
