It is scheduled to be delivered on Monday (and I leave town very early Monday morning on a work trip).

But wait, there is more.

A signature is required for delivery.

Dang, I ordered with shipping such that I thought (even with the holiday) that I'd get it tomorrow.

Well, darn. I wonder how this will play out. :foot:

That sucks. What'd you get? Insingo?

Unlucky ! :p I hope it all works out smoothly some how.

Did you go far that insingo ? I'm picking up a 25 on Saturday....from a shop thankfully. :D:thumbup:

OMG.....Your Suffering From "THE WAIT"......!!!

Went through the same thing a couple weeks ago when my Umkhombe was on the way. Said it was delivered, only to find out the office was closed and he took it back to re-deliver the next day, but it was still marked "delivered" the first day. Talk about "THE WAIT"....!!!

I rather like THE WAIT, but I dont care for it to continue past its prime.

I am sure everything will work out somehow. It is just a silly swing of events.

I almost got two knives, but opted for a tanto blade. Should be fun!

The tanto is a nice knife, I think you'll like it. I much prefer the "Lum style" tanto myself so I'm glad CRK use that style over the usual tanto blades often seen. It makes for a more useable knife, IMO. :)

That is a huge component of the choice...that and I have some ideas about how I will use this one a little differently than my others (not like a fool). I enjoy the idea of getting back to a tanto design that sort of allows for two edges on one knife.

Now I just need to figure out what I will do to customize it a bit and make it my own. Another Cabochon perhaps?...or perhaps mill out the inside of the handle;)

I know there is a lot of talk about DT Insingos. I cannot help but think a DT Tanto would be amazing. I wont be holding my breath though;)

WOW.....!!! You Got It Bad :D

There is no WAY I'd show YOU! (Zeta)

In all seriousness. I am trying to decide on the cabochon. Hematite looks classy, but I have a thing for malachite...decisions, decisions.

I like the hematite you have set in your DT, I think it'd look good on your new knife as well. Maybe go for the malachite, in favor of variety. Both will look good IMO but, when you limit yourself to a few very very high quality things, contrast can be a lot of fun! It keeps things interesting for guys like us that could appreciate having several CRK, but prefer to appreciate and frequently use just a few. An example would be your Rolexes. Not sure if you have just the two (very fine pieces btw, kudos) but, in regards to those, you opted for a variation in style. I would've done the same. Similar enough to old faithful, but different enough for fun. Just my $0.02, for what it's worth.

Btw did you get the Micarta Tanto? Blue hardware, silver hardware? So purposefully vague!

Post pics once you get the malachite installed(hint). I'd like to see how it looks. I'm still undecided on a tanto, I don't know if it would be practical in my work.

Yeah, so, they tried to deliver the knife today and I was not home...but I was able to pick it up at the FedEx depot.

I will probably open the box later tonight (I am digging THE WAIT). I am sure all will be well;)

In honor of tradition, please, no pictures :D

I'm glad you got your hands on with out too much hassle.

I'll be seeing about a 25 today I think. Unless there is something else that catches my eye so to speak. I have a bit of a hankering for a new kitchen knife, too..... :)

I recently gave away one of my lager kitchen knives...I have been thinking of replacing it. It will likely be a long process of deciding what I must have.

This tanto is prety cool. It seems far less "tactical" looking in person, and the blade looked small to me at first (just a perception thing). I am surprised these are not a lot more common around here..I think if more people saw them in person, more people would buy/carry/use them.

I will almost certainly share some photos at some point, but I promise, photos will not convey the overall perception of this blade shape....at least none I saw prior to receiving this did. I am pleasantly surprised. (basically everything I saw looked like a tough/tactical tanto, what I hold in my hand seems more like a ?gentlemans? tanto)
