I too enjoy the look of ivory and white bone on a knife. Here are a few from my collection that I don't think I've posed before:

Here's one of the first knifes I picked up by Ron Easler (now deceased) and engraved by Russ Zima.

And here's the first knife I bought from Tim Hartman, also engraved by Russ Zima. It was the first knife of his (that Tim knows of) to be engraved, one of the first knives Russ ever did, and it turned out so well I commissioned the set in my avatar photo.

Here's a fairly new one by Steve Fecas that I ordered at last years blade:

And here's a pair of hunters by Don Lozier, engraved by Ron P Nott:

From Peter's Alumni Collection, this Hancock has always been one of my favorites.

Peter,

From: A Glossary of the Construction, Decoration, and Use of Arms and Armor in All Countries and in All Times: In All Countries and in All Times
By George Cameron Stone, Donald J. LaRocca

“Eared Dagger, Estradiot. A dagger derived from Oriental models and first used by the Venetian Estradiots, for which reason they were often called “stradiots” Or “estradiots”. The usual name is derived from the disks fastened to the pommel that stand up like ears.
They were very popular, especially in Italy, in the first half of the 15th century.”

The ears were used to give more force when stabbing.

This knife belongs to a friend of mine who had Hanford Miller make it for him. I don't think that you will see many more of these.
