Here is the newest one I made.

Specs
Blade: O1 1/8" thick 1" wide 3 9/16" tip to handle 7 1/2" OAL
Handle: White paper micarta with brass mosaic pin and stainless thong hole liner.

I feel like I am getting better at this passion (picture taking sucks though!). Comments from the group?

Looks very good; finish is superb! Only minor thing: the front pin doesn't look centered. Congrats on a very nice knife!

I actually put most of my pins slightly above center. This advice has been given to me by more than one experienced knifemaker. When my pins are centered, they can actually look lower than they should have been.

Likewise here too  Loveless mentions this tip in the book " How To Make Knives "

Nice work on the knife Big Smitty    Very nice !! I've always loved white paper micarta........ until I started using white linen. Now I prefer the linen over the paper, only because it shows contour lines better. If you like the paper Smitty give the linen a try, I'll bet you'll love it too.

Again...... awesome work Smitty :)

i dont think it looks off center. looks like its tricking the eye because of where the shadow fals on the handle . if you wate a bit and let the sun rise some more and turn the knife around so the sun hits the spine first. then use white paper to reflect light back at the knife from the frount to lighten the shadow a bit. rotate camera to 45 dagrees so knife goes from botter corner to top right corner. just some tips i have found to work for me. but then when you throw a model in, it changes everything:D

Thanks everyone for the comments! Learning this trade and what is ultimatly an art is a very humbling experience. I am only in the begining stages of becoming proficient.

The handle pin is a tiny bit above center, just a pesonal preference of mine.

Any of the knife supply houses should stock it, pretty common. Look at Jantz, Texas Knife Makers Supply, USA Knifemakers Supply.
