When I first received this the main blade was quite difficult to open even with the nail nick close to the tip of the blade. I had all but given up as it was too much for my thumb nail to handle. But I persevered and continued to oil the pivot and work the blade open and close and now it has finally broken in so that I can easily open the blade, quite pleased to have this one now.
