About 40 years ago I started wood carving which is how I began making knives, I found that I could make my own wood carving knives and fashion them into the shapes I wanted. This led me into making a couple of hunting knives and as they say the rest is history. I still do a little carving but my passion is now knife making. This knife is very comfortable in the hand, ground thin to the edge and sharp enough that it will sing when it is used cross grain.

Stock removal from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 60
Flat grind with a very slight convex and highly polished
Stabilized curly maple handle
Overall length: 7 1/4 inches
Blade: 3 inches
Depth at the forefinger is 3/4 inch tapering to the tip
I sewed up a scabbard and though I doubt anyone would carry this on a belt I riveted on a strap on the back just in case
