Thanks, fellas. Now I see that I'm not the only one who noticed having more trouble splitting hairs when the edge was actually sharper.

Indeed!That would be the strangest pass around ever!
Plus the incredible shave would probably spoil your wife/girlfriend forever more.I think in part because of the variability in hairs, it took a good while to figure out what was going on. It wasn't until I started testing sharpness pushcutting newsprint that the light came on ... and then of course you feel compelled to figure out the skill needed to whittle with these ultra-sharp hair-poppers.
There are no limits when it comes to obsession.
