Thanks, fellas. Now I see that I'm not the only one who noticed having more trouble splitting hairs when the edge was actually sharper.

Indeed! :) Plus the incredible shave would probably spoil your wife/girlfriend forever more.

I think in part because of the variability in hairs, it took a good while to figure out what was going on. It wasn't until I started testing sharpness pushcutting newsprint that the light came on ... and then of course you feel compelled to figure out the skill needed to whittle with these ultra-sharp hair-poppers.

There are no limits when it comes to obsession.
