Who all pre-ordered the Wilson/Ralph Combat folder? 'Cause their HERE!!!

St.
Most of the requests were from Military and police.
The comments were that using the knife in salt water conditions even with the coating will allow the edge to rust on D2.
The 440c will not rust as easy and the coating is to help protect the whole blade where salt water would hit it and stay on the blade.
All stainless with carbon in it will rust after some use in corrosive situations. We just wanted the most protection we could get.

Darryl, thanks for the reply. I keep forgetting that some people don't have the luxury of working with a roof over their heads most of the time. I guess I'll see how tough the coating is for free.

Thanks to you and Ryan for getting the knife out to me in time for Christmas! All my best and Happy Holidays!

I want to get on the list for the upgrade. While I'm waiting I can use and abuse this blade to see how the coating holds up.

I can't believe more people haven't gotten these. The original thread in "What's New" has almost 10,000 views!

I thought these would generate more interest.

Mine has arrived. First off this is a big knife that doesn't seem that big. Most 4"+ blades feel kinda clunky but this knife feels very natural in my hand. Very good ergonomics. Blade opening is smooth and it locks up tight. Overall fit and finish is very good. The switch to 440c didn't bother me that much(although I would have prefered D2) as 440c is a good steel but coating 440c makes about as much sense as coating stellite for my uses.

Overall first impressions is that I am pleased with the DDR/Wilson folder. We shall see how it hold up to some hard use.
