Who are California Knives?

I came across a posting today on Craigs List and thought I'd get some feedback from the best group of guys I know. Does anyone know who California Knives is? They are posted as the developer of the first (1992) legal auto assisted opening knife in California. Never heard of them before and was wondering if they are any good.

I've never owned one, but I've fondled the knives a couple times some years ago at knife shows. Quality seemed good, the blade opened with a nice snap, but the knives were a little too small for my taste. A CA legal auto is less than 2" blade length so even though the handle is longer than the blade, it's still only about a 3" long handle. If you like small knives though...
