Who can make me a firesteel using a supplied natural mineral?

Knifemakers one and all,

I have a collection of natural minerals and crystal specimens that I would like to have made into custom firesteels. Quartz, Calcite, Hematite, Pyrite...many others. Many rare minerals and gem quality raw specimens as well.
Any thoughts?

A little clarification might help get an answer. Do you mean the old school flint and steel type design where your crystals scrape sparks from a steel piece? Or do you mean modern rare earth mischmetal type firesteel? In which case, what would the crystals be for, handles?

Well, as far as I know, yes, rocks can make sparks, but they burn up before they can land on a combustable material and start a burn. If all you want is a fire steel there are many different sources to choose from. You have either mis-worded, or do not understand fire making with a fire striker.
