How about Randall Knives In Florida?...Take Care...Ed

Perhaps he wants materials Randall doesn't offer? like ats34 steel? Maybe he doesn't want to wait 4 & 1/2 years to get his knife?

You may want to take a look at the BlackJack II model 1-7. It's a pretty close replica of the Randall. Check EBay or the various internet knife vendors. I don't think they have brass fittings, though.

Thanks for the help guys. You too Ed,you were a real big help.If I wanted a Randall I'd order one,but at 57 years old I just might not be around in 56 months to recieve it. Thanks again

I'd be willing to take a shot at making a custom version. I was surprised you didn't get more offers here. Email me if you're interested.

Good luck,

I only have a two year waiting list ;)

why I didn't offer is
I'm not really interested in copying someone elses work and it would cost more than Randal selles them for also ...custom and bench made are sometimes a world apart..

Good points Dan. I can only dream of a day when I have a two year waiting list! Also, as you may remember from a problem that you helped me out with awhile back, it wouldn't be a "copy", but a "similar" piece!

Cool..I remember now..I hope I helped..

be careful of what you wish for..it may come true :o :)
a back order like that can be a double edged sword ..
it ties you up like a job does..:( and the management of it is something I don't like either..but it comes with the territory... good luck :)
