I'm not quite sure if I'm going to carry my new handmade folder around with me. I need some support!!!! So let me know which one you carry, pics very welcome!!! (especially of used or even beat up customs, that would make me feel much better)

You won't truly appreciate the quality of your custom unless you carry it and use it! I use it for light tasks and keep it in my pocket with nothing else so it doesn't get scratched. By the way, which one do you have? How about a pic?

The EDC is my EDC

The itty-bitty scan doesn't show the marks on the blade, oh well. The Apogee hasn't seen a whole lot of use, yet, and only has a few mars in the blade finish, and a couple of scratches. The small Seb looks like one big scratch up close (the ti slabs look "stonewashed" too, now). Carry it, use it, and you'll love it twice as much! You didn't spend all that cash just to leave it at home???

I carry a Bill Siegle knife of my design, all the time, in fact, I sleep with it....

Under the pillow, of course....

As my friend's are sick of hearing me say, this Terzuola ATCF has been in my pocket and used since I bought it at the Nov.'99 NY Show. It has a unique pocket clip made and installed by Darrell Ralph so it carries tip down. I use a knife quite a bit in my job as a newspaper printing foreman and everytime I take it out it gives me a good feeling. Use the knife, you deserve it. I have a bunch of customs and naturally I keep 90% of them mint to retain value, but why not have one that is your EDC? Use this logic-if it cost you say $400 for instance, by the time you've carried it for 400 days, it's only cost you $1 a day to carry and use a great knife.

i carry a crawford custom Kasper folder, got the CRKT model and had to have 1 - paid about $400 - it is the std mod, with ti handles - i carry either this knife, or my SIFU daily, with a BM AFCK as a utility knife to back uo the big boys - anyway thats my custom ever day carry

by the way, thinking of selling my crawford, and maybe another knife or 2, and getting the crawford kasper w/a damascus blade - wish i woulda done that to begin with, but i wanted to save a little $$ on it - they sure are pretty

also have a CRK seb, but dont carry it often - just like the C/K and the SIFU better - nothing against it, mine is not for sale, but i dont carry often

SIFU

I've got two today - carbon fiber and mastodon overlay EDCs - ah, the joys of cargo pants carry

Most any day I have an EDC, sometimes swapping one out for one of my Carsons.

Here's one of'em:

Just can't say enough about these beauts. I keep this close morning to night, and it does everything I need.

Here is a pic of my EDC along with my large Sebbie (sorry for the Sebbie being included but this was the only pic I could find

I've only had it a few weeks, but my Lightfoot LCC is now my EDC. I just try to keep it in an empty pocket to avoid scratches.

Hey, that's my kind of logic! I, too, have been hesitant to use a handmade folder as my daily carry. In fact, Dale Reif practically ordered me to use my last purchase as my EDC!

Maybe if I have a leather slipcase made for it that clips to the pocket...?

I carry a Coleman TAC II on a regular basis. I have to have something to fiddle with while im driving. It also cuts stuff every once in a while. The main thing I try to remember is to keep other hard objects out of my knife pocket. If it is a knife you are extremely happy with and don't plan to get rid of you might as well carry it.

I can't post pictures as my son STILL won't show me how! I have a 3 way rotation, all customs. I average changing out about once a month. The three I carry are;

1) MADD MAXX by DDR
2) Covert by Pat Crawford
3) Buckhunter by Bob Dozier

Currently have the Buckhunter in pocket.
I agree with the statement that you can not appreciate your customs until you carry them!

I'm with Scott Dog and Kawanin. My EDC knife is a Tom Mayo TNT. I never worry about scratches and such because the finish on the titanium scales never seem to get scratched. And even if they did, Tom would just re-finish them. I never worry about corrosion because the blade is Talonite. The only time I DO worry about my TNT is when I am in large crowds i.e. Disneyland. I worry that in a crowd it could get lifted from my pocket so I leave the TNT at home and carry my Kershaw Avalanche in crowds. I get such pleasure from carrying and using my TNT every day that I am really getting my moneys worth.

C'mon guys, we can't have the only TNT picture being one without holes!

I like lots of holes, personally...

I actually rotate through about six different customs, changing about twice a week, but the TNTs are first choice for any heavy use or nasty environments.

Madd Maxx when the trousers allow, Madd Maxx Gibbs when I do not have to worry about impressions,a Mayo TNT or Munroe Chimera ( pronounced KI-MERA) for occasions in between. For church, it is a Darrel Ralph Millenium Apogee with Thomas dasmascus blade, or a William Henry MOP lancet.
If I had a choice, I would carry the MM Gibbbs everywhere.

Hmm...

Today I carried my Darrel Ralph CF EDC with Norris damascus and file worked blade and my Kit Carson small Ti M16 with Stellite blade. Tomorrow I'll probably tote an ATCF along so it doesn't get lonely. I don't worry about scratching them because I know the makers are stand-up guys who will clean them up for me. I can't wait for my small Madd Maxx!
