Who carries their izula without the wrap or handles?

I bought my izula and also a set of handles but I took them off to clean and realized I kind of like carrying it without handles or a wrap. Anyone else carry it like this?

I can't stand the feel of a naked Izy. There's no really good purchase for grip and the grip you do have is uncomfortable as all get out. I've made custom G10 slabs for mine and LOVE them.

I might keep a naked Izy as a backup to reduce weight and bulk. But that's it for me.

The Izula II with scales is awesome, the Izula with scales not so much.

I was keeping one of my Izulas naked but I find I really like the paracord wrap.

Mine is naked.
Wrapped it but didn't like it.
Haven't tried the scales yet but I do like it the way it is. Nice and thin and PERFECT for the pocket.

I carry mine wrapped still, no handles. I really thought about it quite a bit but I love the feel of the my Izula wrapped and how compact the blade as a whole is.

Naked for me. When I bought it, I was planning to wrap it, but never did and ended up really liking it the way it is

I neck carry mine naked. I really prefer the feel of a cord wrap but got tired of wrapping it after a few times and decided for the limited use it gets, naked is fine. I carry it every day but mainly use it in abusive situations where I don't want to ruin my other knives.

I'd probably try something like the waxed thread Hiwa used if I was actually decent at tying knots.

I had it unwrapped for a couple weeks before I wrapped it, and I liked it. But I just have a better grip with the wrap. Plus it looks cool.

The versatility is one of the best things about an Izula. Everyone's is different, unique... your own.

Scales, naked, the countless variations of wraps... whichever way you go, it's going to be YOUR Izula...

Had it wrapped, but it got messed up when I was packin c4 and I took it off. I like it naked.

that is so sexy! how are the scales secured? i love that patina and those scales together. i'm going to have to try that with an izzy someday. maybe even with some wood scales.

that picture actually makes me wish that this knife was about 50% bigger. not just the handle, but scaled up in overall length, width, and thickness.

sorry... i know that's not what this thread is about, but man that is a nice looking knife.

Guntram,

The scales are secured by epoxy, I didn't have a drill press (or drill of any sort to attach pins. It's a really fun project.

God bless,
Adam
