I've been hunting around online for a friend, and I haven't yet found a public-facing supplier who has 5 gallon quantities of Parks #50 quench oil in stock for immediate sale.

Can anyone point me to a seller who currently shows this in stock(and who has an automatic online inventory and online sales interface?)

Call and talk to Lee or Carla Neves. Nice folks that know of what they speak and deliver. Parks 50 by the bucket shipped anywhere. Don't know about an "automatic inventory or sales interface" but I have been there personally a few times to pick up materials. Never disappointed.

Yep, got mine from maxim oil too, but you do have to either email or call them to get it cause there is no way to order from their webisite, I just did it through email. Kelly Couples used to carry it, but the've been out of stock for years and it looks like they don't plan on selling it anymore.. not sure why they still even list it on their site??? I paid $120 after shipping for 5 gal of p 50 from maxim so shipping isn't too "insane"

Just purchased 5 gallons from Kelly a few weeks ago; he is great to work with...

Oh wow, sorry bout the bad info I gave then. For the past few years I've known about his site ( http://www.hightemptools.com/quenchants.html ) The parks 50 and the slower quench parks AAA have been as posted on his site, "P-50 is no longer available! NO ETA at this time!" huh thats weird, wonder why he doesn't update his site, people are always looks for parks 50

Okay, thanks. I thought both Cupples and Maxim no longer carried it because Cupples' site explicitly says he no longer carries it and Maxim lists other quench oils but does not list Parks #50.

I just bought a pail from Maxim about a month ago. You have to call.

I have 5 gallons of used Parks 50, about 5 years old. Free if you pick up at 19512.

Note that http://www.hightemptools.com/ is NOT Kelly Cupples' website as evidenced by the /about page.

How bout that, I never took the time to read that,, woops lol. I just remember a few yers ago that kellycupples.com, at least I thought his site was changed to hightemptools (correct me if I'm wrong, again :o ) (My memory is kinda fuzzy on this but I think I remember there being a domain in his name that started redirecting people to hightemptools.) That and the fact that the knifemaking steel page on their site ( http://www.hightemptools.com/steel.html ) lists Kelly as the supplier is why I assumed it was his site. Thanks for letting me know it's not though, I don't want to be giving out wrong info :)

Email Kelly. He will send you his latest price list. The last one I got from him still has Parks 50 listed.

I Have been friends with Kelly for more than ten years and in all that time he has never had a "website" his information has always been passed via email, snail mail or word of mouth.

He is alsp a down right nice guy to deal with most times sending out orders even before payment has been made.

Ha! That's true, Bill. When I order steel from Kelly I barely get the check mailed out, and the steel is sitting on my steps. There is no way he could've got the money before he shipped. Ya gotta love, and trust, a guy like that.
