I bought my mini AFCK about a month in a half ago and I love it. Mine is partly serrerated. The action is great and I love the design and the shape. I also like how benchmade pays Spyderco for the hole. I WAS WANTING TO KNOW WHO DESIGNED THE BENCHMADE AFCK?

Actually, it was mainly designed by ex-BM Exec. Mark McWillis, with minor input from Caracci...

Then there is a conflict because an old issue of Fighting Knives Magazine clearly states that Chris Caracci designed it and shopped it around and it dived with a couple other manufacturers till BM picked it up.

It might be the other way around, Caracci had the idea and BM refined it.

That was my understanding, also, Don.
Caracci is an ex-SEAL who has several fitness and tactical videos.
I don't really care who designed it, I'm just glad they got it right. Now, if BM would only offer it as an Axis lock....

Roger that on the axis lock, except it may interfere with the ability to use Spyderco's hole.

Do a search on the Spyderco Archive. There is some interesting info about the design of the AFCK.

Mark McWillis told me that it was his concept (a better tactical Police), and that he and CC collaborated on it when they met at a shooting event. Mark said that most of the credit for what the AFCK turned out to be belonged to CC.
