Who do you use for dyeing and stabilizing wood?

I have some wood I would like to have dyed a few different colors and stabilized, Who do you guys recommend for this. Is the cost cheaper supplying your own wood or buying the handles already prepped from a supplier? Thank you for any and all help in advance.
