I really like my Survive! GSO 4.1 in 3V, but I also find my Bark Rivers to perform very well. Any thoughts on does 3V best, be it these or other companies/individuals?

Fehrman does a great job also. I haven't yet had a bad knife/heat treatment in 3V, crossing my fingers.

The Spyderco Tuff is fantastic as well as the ZT0100.

3V is a great steel IMO.

Phil Wilson has been working with CPM 3V for a long time, and his work is top notch. Reese Weiland works with CPM 3V and also with very good results.

I'm pretty sure both companies have their HT done by Peters. As do I and many other independent makers as well.

Yes ! Survive knives has it's HT done by Peters which was a selling point for me !! They know their stuff !

Big Chris works with 3V, 4V and 10V among others. He is also a great guy to deal with.

Koster runs his 3V at 60rc. I think that is a little harder than most others use for their blades. So a little more wear resistance and a little less toughness.

Fehrman does the best 3V I have ever used.

Then again you put Phil Wilsons name in front of any steel and its one of the best.
