I have no idea why Busse charges more for G10. Micarta is the upgrade on nearly everything else.

My guess would be that they make the G-10 in house, thereby economy of scale would suggest it would cost quite a bit more than buying it. I believe I read here before they make it in house, could be wrong.

G10 seems to have marginally higher strength and lower absorption. However, Micarta has a better hand-feel with more positive grip for users. I would not hesitate to take either one to the ends of the world. But, I would prefer Micarta in combat as the improved grip is more likely to be very appreciated.

And micarta doesn't absorb very much. Get it wet. Wipe it dry and it'll be dry in a min or two.
