that took long enough...

No Bridgeport....Mini mill and lathe....Seems to be fine for knife making, just can't do larger work.....:D

I have a Grizzly and and am very satisfied with it. I operated two different Bridgeports years ago for a company I worked for. The first one I think came over on the Mayflower, but the second was newer and had digital X-Y readout; they both were great machines even though they had been around for a long time. For what I do now I can't see much difference.

I do not have a Bridgeport. I have, however, drooled over John's. And lusted after a Lagun powerfeed, DRO equipped model that I have no place to put.

Mike, obviously Jeff thinks you're "Number One", too! It's so good to have friends you can count on! :)

In jeffs case, It would be good if he COULD count.:D ( I kill me!!!)

I have to think up a snappy comeback for that pic thaqt he posted. Im working on it.:D

That finger has great muscle tone, almost like it has been used alot. Do you use it to wave at people while driving? You know the "have nice day" type of wave as they cut you off.:D

I don't have one, but I do have a Smithy Midas 1220 three in one. I would have prefered Smithy's industrial machine, bigger throught, longer lathe bed, and power feeds, but for what I do it takes up very little space and is rock solid and change over is pretty quik.

Mill? MILL? I'm so poor, I'm not even allowed to be in the same room with one. This poor old bastid doesn't even own a decent metal lathe. I got two squirrel dogs, though.

I don't, but I do have a Jet 9X48 knee mill. If you're shopping for a mill, don't scrimp. You'll make that extra $1000 back and be more satisfied in the long run if you get a bigger machine than you think you'll need.
