Who doesn't own a buck 110?

Well, I had a Buck Ranger a long time ago, liked it as it was my first lockback, but it was difficult to sharpen and didn't hold a fine edge particularly well. Then Buck introduced its lightweight plastic handled models, so I got one of those and found another. Easier to pack, all right, but I still wasn't that impressed with the steel. But Buck established a classic with the 110, popularized the lockback and while they aren't my EDC any more a lot of people like 'em and use 'em. They're still good value for the money.

But it was the first knife I really wanted.

A "Puma" was my first lock-back knife. Unfortunately it got really messed up when a bottle of hotel shampoo got in contact with it inside my travel bag. It was a couple months before I found out and now it's ruined.

nice pictures, Buzz! Don't you have the one with damascus blade?
would be nice to take a closer look at their damascus, couldn't say much about it looking at PCKS picture.

Here is a closer picture of my Oak handled 110 with the damascus blade. This is probably my favorite knife (but don't let the other 110's know, they all think they are my favorite)

Well, I don't own one of those Buck 110s. At least not right now. I do plan on eventually getting one though...someday. I suppose that right now, I'm just going through my "tactical" phase. ;)

The Buck 110 is definitely a classic that no KnifeKnut should be without in their collection. :D

110s, can't be complete without 'em! My first Buck was a "Selector", then procured my 110 with finger groove. Heard a man fought and killed a bear with this one! Then the 112.. Excellent knives! :D

I don't have one either, I have about 35..:D A few are variations, 560, 111, etc. I love 'em. I went through Benchmades, Spydercos,Microtechs, all those, but I went back to 110s and here I'll stay. There are just so many different ones you can get and so much you can do to them.

I thought I'd scan it and share. I was carrying a 532 for a while, but I just like this one better. Its been thinned to about half the 110s normal thickness and has purpleheart scales and a fileworked backspring. One of these days I'll send it in for a BG42 upgrade.

I was bitten by the tactical bug close to ten years ago. But lately I've been more attracted to traditional knives. I almost picked up an Old Timer version at Wal-mart, but they didn't have the sheath for it. I might just have to check out Pete's.

I had one with stag scales when I was in the Navy, (late 60's) I even made a leather belt sheath for it. I had it onboard ship, I didn't lose it, but one day it did grow legs and walked. :(

What I have now is a Parker-Edwards (110 look a like) in stag with a Damascus blade. Nice knife, but it's no Buck.

Well I don't have a Buck110. I do own a Buck 500 Duke that has traveled all over the world with me while I served in the Air Force. Great knife!

I've had the Old Timer version of the Buck 110 for more than 25 years. It was my EDC for many, many years - still have it, it now resides in the door pocket of my truck. I recently acquired the Schrade version of the 110 and like it as well. I also carry an Old Timer stockman (had it as long as the lockback) and it is still my EDC. Still has a great edge and works well for me everyday.
That said, a Buck stockman is #1 on my Christmas list and a 110 is just a little way down the same list. I may not be able to hold out on the 110 and may just buy one before Christmas. I've never had a Buck and ALWAYS wanted one (or more).
I have Spyderco's and really like them, just like the 110 and stockman type knives more. My dad was a butcher so I learned about knives very early (guns too but that's another story). I really appreciate a knife with a good edge that won't let me down.

My BUCK 110 is fully automatic and is gorgeous. Cumberland Mountain Knife and Tool takes the 110 and converts them in to the most beautiful switchblades you can imagine. The knife looks stock but when you push the brass "emblem" it snaps open with much authority. It's razor sharp and the fit/finish is superb.Of course I only carry it when I'm at the biker bar.

What do you do with them? I still have my 110 from 1966 or so. Don't carry it anymore. It WAS a bitch to sharpen but when you do it right, it is SHARP. And durable. A buddy used to get frustrated and bring his over for me to sharpen. I did it twice and then taught him how to do it. Mine is the first model I think. Something about which side the blade is stamped on. Shaves...but sits in the cabinet now.
Now I switch between the Browning 734 and the one handed Victorinox with the saw blade.
Tacticals are nice, but I have CCW and carry a gun for defense.

I can not IMAGINE a knife fight. Eeeeech.

I don't have one. I carried a similarly sized Puma for about twenty years so I never really had the urge to buy one. Now I've got a couple of Benchmades so I should be set for awhile unless I lose them.

Sadly, I do not own a legendary 110. I did pick up a Schrade LB7 Bear Paw (the Schrade "110") for all of $22.00 U.S. Wally World was clearing them out. I figured for that price I could not go wrong.

After reading this post I think I might pick up an Anniversery edition 110 and give it to the boy when he is old enough.

Hey Jake Evans if the bottom 2 knives were 100 % more beautiful they would almost be identical to mine. Just kidding.I love my 110 (auto). Some day I will purchase a camera so I can share pictures too. Your 110's are amazing. Are your blades embossed with the logo?

Yep. those not showing it have it on the other side of the blade. The one with the bolster button is not a Cumberland. I also have one that's D/A, now if I ever get it back from getting tuned up and amber bone scales added.

Is Cumberland still in business and are they who have your knife now? I'd like to send mine in for a tuneup.Mine is just too touchy, If you barely touch the button it opens.I think the pin that goes in the drilled hole is worn.Give me a number or a URL. Thanks.

Cumberland burned down a while back and as far as I know haven't started over as yet. One of the forum membermakers is redoing my D/A, but I won't mention who...lol. Sorry, but he's doing it as a favor and when he can get to it. If you snoop around a bit you can find someone.
