Who D'ya Think Lives Here ?

I came across this nice little den on my walk today.....

I couldn't find any scat or definite footprints ( I'll never be the next Tom Brown :() but I'm thinking it would belong to a raccoon as it would be around the right size and I have found raccoon tracks in mud around 20 yards from this place before !

that is a lot of wood dust ,what ever it is is a burrowing fool... being that is AKA: sawdust and prettty thick if the animal is semi light in weight it would not leave much on footprints if it did a few flicks of the dust and all tracks gone...
 
This was still the classiest Raccoon home I ever came across though, man was he a clever dude !!!:D

That was only one of many ! They were on Saltspring island, a great place to hike but it's full of strange people smoking strange stuff if you know what I mean, so I wasn't suprised to find the little doors !!!

The only normal bloke I met there was Seth, a knife maker who lives on the Island ( COSMO Knives ) if he makes knives he has to be normal eh ?:D:thumbup:
 
Maybe it's a termite infested tree or work in progress for a new home for the elves?

pitdog, you always post the most outstanding pic threads (no disrespect to other pic thread posters).
 
That little door is great. You could always stick your arm in the hole and see what teeth marks you get.
 
We know whomever lives inside the nice door has good taste in knives! Looks to be badger or mink to me. I don't know if you get mink out there though. But I've never seen a badger down at the water's edge. Raccoons are a good bet, though they don't make many nests, they borrow someone else's.
 
I have those in my neck of the Woods also.:D

At least they like Blades too.:D
